This event was a time trial tournament, with points being awarded per race depending on final time and position. merlinv12 entered this event with it being his first racing game at a competitive level, and so went in unsure of others ability, but remained confident.

There were 4 races in total, each on a different track in a different car set up by the admins on Console Gaming, the ability to adjust and get the most out of the car being crucial to win. Each track had a 1 week time limit, inwhich players had to submit thier time for the track/car in question, the fastest time being declared the winner.

Round one went incredibly well for an opening to the tournament with merlinv12 clinching first by a narrow margin of 0.003 seconds, with the deadline fast approaching, this was enough to put some early points in the bag and progress to round 2. Round 2 didnt go so well as there was a new discovery of 'skid recovery' which allowed the cars to be driven alot faster around corners gaining crucial time, merlinv12 finished 4th in this time trial, but still holding the lead.

Round 3, merlinv12 breezed through the track and shot out a blistering time, a second above anyone elses time that was submitted, making the 4th and final round very comfortable, where merlin finished in 2nd place to cement his victory in this Tournament, so very well done to merlinv12 and BSQ in their first competitve racing game.

First off, well done to all the BSQ members who entered the Console Gaming Blacks Ops - Snakebyte free for all. Our turn out was good as 6 of our members entered into this event; Dixon, merlinv12, MGVP, RimXster, Mitchell-19 and KayneOrchard.
The competition was hot with a variety of known CoD players at the scene, we knew this wouldn’t be easy, but every member put in the effort to represent the clan and take what they could from this tournament.

Merlinv12 and Mitchell-19 both got knocked out in the second round, however unlucky, still put in the effort which is exactly what needs to be seen. MGVP and Dixon both played very well, in their opening rounds and progressed to the Semi Final, MGVP creating some talk between the other participates with his previous performances; unfortunately, this was as far as they got.

This was not the end of the success during this tournament, both RimXster and KayneOrchard were alive and kicking their way into the Finals, where the final 7 players would fight it out over the course of 3 FFA rounds, scores and kills were added together over the rounds to determine the victor, consistency and concentration at this point being vital in sealing the win.

KayneOrchard put in a strong performance finishing in 5th place overall, an achievement with itself, On top of this RimXster pulled a round to be remembered clutching himself 74 kills over the 3 rounds, leaving him a painfully close defeat being 1 kill behind the lead. Once again, very well done to all participants and we hope to win yet more achievements within this franchise. Rim’s signature for 2nd place can be seen above this article.
