After winning the last ConsoleGaming BFBC2 kick off tournament, we went into this tournament very confident. In the end we proved that we were right to do so after tonight we took home the gold yet again, and still remain undefeated on the game.

This tournament had a different set-up however. It started with 16 teams, split into 4 groups of 4. In this group stages, we beat all of our competition, which included [vVv], [MS] and [S!T]. After topping our group and continuing our unbeaten streak, we advanced to the play off rounds where we were set to face our rivals [HK], however they didn't show up because of the previous beatings and therefore we took the default 2-0 win. After having to wait a while to find out who we would face in the semi finals, we discovered that we were matched up against 'War Zone Punisher's'. They looked to be a tough opponent after beating many great teams but our team excelled once again and took the game 2 maps to 1.

Advancing to the final, we were set to play [TAo], another big rival that we had beaten many times before, but a team that were always a challenge. After a long 2 hour match, we pulled out victorious, taking the game 2 maps to 0 and not dropping a round. The team found this to be a comfortable match, in which we were very proud of our performance.

We look forward to see what other tournaments we can enter and hopefully be victorious in again in the near future and hope that we can continue our unbeaten record until we stop participating on the game. I would like to thank the whole BSQ team and the DoA players, for being able to achieve what we have on Battlefield Bad Company 2 and wish everyone luck in future battles that we may have!

The Console Gaming Battlefield Bad Company 2 Kick-off tournament launched some time ago and it has finally come to a close, with 'Brutal Squad' (BSQ) taking home the gold.

After becoming runners up in the previous Battlefield title, Battlefield 1943, and with RNX the BF1943 winners not competing on BFBC2 it looked as if we would be the clear winners with no other real competition left. With us also picking up 5 DoA members and maintaining an unbeaten streak on the CG ladder, them being able to win the tournament looked a certainty. However, with many American clans from the EA forums finding out about the CG tournament, the competition was much higher than first anticipated. With teams such as RaW, TaO, HK and MFH flocking over, it looked as if it would be a tough tournament for CGs teams, including us.

With us knocking out teams such as RaW and HK early on, we built up confidence and it looked as if nobody could keep up with the strategies that we had, never mind executing them as well. we met BsE in the quarter finals who were seen as the second best CG team. After a convincing 2-0 win TaO stood in their way in the semi finals. This was the toughest competition that we had came up against but we still managed to pull through after a 2-1 win. The finals were played against MFH, who had merged with AoB, one of the best conquest clans on the BF series.

After one of the most intense matches on BFBC2, we came out on top with a 2-1 win and with the winning round being won by only 1 ticket. MFH certainly were the strongest EA team and would not go down without a fight and therefore we were worthy runners up. We have done well and still continue our unbeaten streak!

Lets hope we can continue this success on other Battlefield games!

The Console Gaming Battlefield Bad Company 2 tournament has finally kicked off and Brutal Squad have advanced to round 2 of the tournament with ease. In our first round, we beat opponents Polish Beer Company 2 games to zero. Brutal Squad looked comfortable throughout and it was a good game to play with BSQ pushing the opposition back to their spawn on both rounds of Laguna Presa Conquest. Unfortunatley they left on the second map as they thought that the game had finished, but I am confident that we would have been victourious on that aswell. This shows that our teamwork and individual player skills are currently top notch and we hope to continue this great form over the months of gaming on battlefield and hopefully walk away with the gold medal and the prize.

Well done to the Uncharted 2 team, who have been competing on Console Gaming Uncharted 2 League. We competed with another 9 clans in a 10 team leauge and finished with the silver medal. We won our leauge comfortably and looked as if we would go onto win it after a cracking semi-final win. It's a shame that we lost in the final because of connection problems, but you win some, you lose some and hopefully we wont have any problems in the future. This is another achievement to add to our records and lets hope we can continue our success on future Uncharted games. Well done the uncharted 2 brutal squad team!

Sony apparently have new plans for the blu-ray disc, no not getting rid of it, but increasing its capacity to 33.4 GB! THis is possible thanks to a new partial response maximum likelihood (PRML) signal processing method, which allows new ways to evaluate content on the disc. Also, two pieces of good news, you won't need a new Blu-ray player, just a software update, and when dual layer discs appear, you will get a staggering 66.8GB on a disc!
